Merry Christmas And A Thank You From Mitchell Glass

Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun! We can hardly believe that it’s nearly Christmastime again and the end of 2019 is nigh.

It’s a year we will remember very fondly, for several reasons, and it seems like a good time to reflect on what has happened at Mitchell Glass over the last 12 months.

One of the biggest and proudest moments for the business came in March when our owners, Peter and Susan Roden, were given the VIP treatment by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) at their London offices.

After being provided with a guided tour, they were handed a special award from the GGF for “Outstanding Service to the Industry” at The President’s Reception, held within the St Bride Foundation Institute.

It was an amazing day for them and fabulous honour for the company.

Peter also got on his bike and did a charity ride in aid of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

He smashed his £500 target and raised well over £700 for the charity setup by former Scottish Rugby International, Doddie Weir, which raises funds for Motor Neurone Disease research.

Other notable highlights include when we exhibited at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show in Edinburgh.

Our stand was busy throughout the duration of the event and received lots of attention from self-builders and renovators.

We loved being able to showcase our work to so many interested parties.

Speaking of which, our work also featured in several high-profile industry publications during the year, including Home & Interiors Scotland Magazine, who showed off the slim sliding doors we fitted for award-winning Edinburgh architect, Níall Hedderman.

We’re hoping that 2020 will be just as memorable, a year when we’ll celebrate our 145^th anniversary.

Yet again, we couldn’t thank our customers enough for their support, and want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
