We were both delighted by the quality of work recently done by Toby and his team. We were having a personally difficult time owing to illness and they went above and beyond to be helpful and considerate.

I wanted to replace our ageing wood-framed conservatory with an aluminium-framed one. Mitchell Glass was the only firm I could find which offered this. We visited them in Galashiels and were impressed by their designs, glass and insulation. As we live in a conservation area and were replacing wood with aluminium, we needed planning permission. Mitchell Glass drew up plans and submitted them at no extra charge. Clearly, removing a conservatory and rebuilding it entirely from the dwarf walls upwards is a complex and messy procedure. The surveyor from Mitchell Glass was outstandingly accurate. The team of fitters were with us for nearly two weeks. They could not have been better - thoughtful, consulting us, friendly, polite and very tidy. We are absolutely delighted with our new conservatory and I thoroughly recommend Mitchell Glass.

Everything went according to plan.

Mitchell Glass provided an excellent all around service. The measuring up went smoothly and although the date of fitting got put back 48 hours the fitters were all excellent and had the windows installed in 2 days. A little bit of external sealant was missed off one of the windows but this was sorted in quick fashion. All in all an excellent service which we would highly recommend.

We had good service from Mitchell's, helping find a solution to meet our needs in a conservation area with a listed building. Products and installation costs were competitive. They were very reasonable and supportive during a protracted consent process, providing technical drawings for this purpose. When consent was gained they arranged installation very promptly. Installation team, and the finished job and product were all very good, done to a high standard. They kept to schedule despite difficult whether and access issues for scaffolding. Very neat finish inside, no redecoration or touch up needed. Great team.

I bought a Mitchell Glass conservatory just under ten years ago. It came with a 10 year warranty and recently I noticed one of the glass units was misting up. The seal had clearly broken. Mitchell Glass responded very promptly to my email and sent someone out to measure up the faulty unit. Once the new unit was available, a mutually convenient time was arranged for it to be fitted. Everyone I communicated with at Mitchell Glass was friendly and helpful. My conservatory now looks great again and remains one of my favourite rooms in the house.

We decided to go with them both on the basis of their good reputation as well as the fact that they are one of the few companies to install triple glazing. Through every step of the process, the team have all been highly professional and considerate. The fitters were very friendly, considerate and clearly take real pride in the work they do, ensuring everything was finished very neatly and taking great care to clean up after themselves. Our new tilt and turn windows have been installed to an excellent standard and we are already noticing the difference in noise and temperature compared with the double glazing we had before (which was nearly 30 years old). The latch on my back door broke. Mitchell Glass did all they could to find a spare part. Alas, the door needed replaced. I could not be more happy with my new door both in looks, thermal efficiency and security. The process from start to finish was first class. Just had secondary glazing panels installed in our bay window to protect the original (single glazed) windows from condensation. The job was completed in a professional manner and on time with efficient workers who were pleasant and hard working. They cleaned up after the job was completed and gave good advice. Condensation has been eliminated, we have a reduction in noise and the room is no longer draughty. We would have no hesitation in using Mitchell Glass again and recommending to friends and family.

Mitchell's fitted much of my house with new windows.I chose them due to their 10 year warranty, their reputation in the community, the quality of their windows and their installers are in-house, not sub-contracted. Their lead engineer is very knowledgeable, their installers were very professional and conscientious. They were respectful of my home and left a clean space. The windows look great and so far, from what I can see, they are well installed and high quality. Overall I am very pleased with my experience.

They got back straight away to arrange a suitable time to visit. Their representative, Craig, explained why this may have occurred and undertook a few procedures to prevent this happening again. This company is superb. We had a very helpful consultation, followed by 3 workmen who were all very skilled and likeable, doing all the work in the same day, from removing the old windows and door, fitting new ones, then disposing of all rubbish and leaving the room very tidy. The new windows have been much admired and someone else in the same block of flats copied us, surely a very good advert. Mitchell Glass are not the cheapest, but definitely the best!

The full experience with Mitchell Glass in all departments was first class from start to finish: sales calls through to follow up sales, admin, timely booking and installation itself. The company came recommended to me by someone who had worked a long time in the buildings industry (and a good recommendation it turned out to be). Ours was a tricky patio doors installation, due to installation location on 1st floor, as well as due to previous floor damage caused by water leaking through old doors and a delicate triangular window framework above the doors, which we were thankfully able to keep. Other more expensive quotes would have had us ripping out and replacing all the above (fairly new!) windows framework. MG came in at a very competitive and realistic price, no pricing nonsense compared to others. Survey process was sound and competent. Installation guys were all brilliant every step of the way, including keeping us well informed as unexpected snags were hit, due to the state of our previous doors' base. Door Materials and accessories are all of sound quality and the extra finishing touches in terms of beading, gap filling and keeping all surrounds seamless were all superb and much appreciated. The team went the extra mile to ensure that the areas under the doors would not be affected by the same water leakage issues that previous installations and joinery work had not designed or catered for over the years. All in all, a very professional and impressive job, thanks!

I live in a conservation area, and knew I would have to adhere to planning restrictions when changing my patio doors. Mitchell Glass have experience of working in such areas and we're able to draw up plans, submit them to local council for approval and the installation went ahead without any problem. The doors fitted in 2018 are great. We had one or two problems with the doors snagging on the frames but Mitchell Glass worked hard to remedy the issue. All fixed and the doors running well.

Door with a transparent piece of frosty glass fitted in the doorway between the lounge and the kitchen. It took about 2 hours to fit, and it is an improvement on the original door. Money well spent.
