To maximise the effects of our replacement windows, we created an A+ Plus window frame with insulating chambers. We also incorporate a sash frame with six insulating chambers, as well as a bubble gasket which works in the same crucial way as a seal on a fridge freezer; it stops heat from escaping. The glazing itself is inventively comprised of carefully chosen materials which control the passing of heat between inside and outside. It allows the natural warmth of the sun to pass into the house, whilst internal heat is unable to escape.

As soon as you have chosen a window style, the next thing you need to do is customise your new windows. There are lots of customisation options at Mitchell Glass, including an array of coloured finishes, glazing and hardware.
Our colour palette caters for everyone…
We still sell an enormous number of traditional white-coloured UPVC sash windows, but other coloured finishes are now often requested by our customers. Mitchell Glass doesn’t like to disappoint anyone, so if you want Chartwell Green UPVC windows, you can have them. Our colour palette also includes Grey and Irish Oak, if they’re more to your taste, two colours that never go out of fashion.
The glass is always integral in a window…
One of our advisors will take you through the various glazing options that we have, one of which is privacy glazing. This form of glass is often used in areas where you don’t want your privacy to be compromised, such as in a bathroom. Although privacy glazing will obscure what people can see from the outside, it won’t stop the sun from entering into a space, so you don’t need to be concerned about losing natural light.
