Are You Going To #MakeOneChange For National Home Improvement Month?
Can you honestly say that you love your home? Most people don’t! That’s according to a survey carried out by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) who discovered that 56% of Brits don’t love theirs.
These people need to do something about it and they have a good reason to do something about it in September as it’s National Home Improvement Month.
The purpose of National Home Improvement Month is to encourage homeowners to #MakeOneChange at their property and it could win them a prize.
If you like the sound of receiving a FREE giveaway, just for enhancing your home, why not carry out one of these three upgrades:
Revive your kitchen cabinets
The living room used to be the prime location in every home, but that’s no longer the case. Nowadays, it’s the kitchen where the modern family spends the vast majority of its time indoors at home.
You don’t need a complete renovation of your kitchen if it could do with freshening up. A successful kitchen makeover may only require some work done on your kitchen cabinets to revitalise their look.
To do it really cheaply, reface the cabinets, or slap on a fresh lick of paint, whilst also removing and replacing any dated hardware (handles, pulls and door knobs).
Stick on removable wallpaper in the master bedroom
We confess, we had never heard of removable wallpaper until we did some research into putting together this piece – what a revelation!
Rather than have to go through the hassle of pasting wallpaper onto a wall and lining it up properly, you just stick it on and then just peel it off when you want to change it.
You could use it to create a feature wall in your master bedroom, with a wallpaper design featuring an art deco, geometric or floral pattern. Don’t sleep on this idea!
Enhance your front entrance
The sight of your front entrance should bring a smile, not a frown to your face and the faces of people that come to visit. Do something about that ugly front door and messy front garden.
If you were to replace your current front door for a brand-new design, you wouldn’t just benefit from more pleasing aesthetics, but also improved energy efficiency and security.
As for your garden, just keep it well manicured and put some plants down to give it some vibrant colour.
We have a wide range of replacement doors at Mitchell Glass, along with a whole host of other home improvement products. Get a FREE quote for any of them here.
