Celebrations As Mitchell Glass Gains Bronze Investors In People Award

The team at Mitchell Glass has received some fantastic news after being rewarded with a Bronze Investors in People accreditation following a reassessment last month.

Investors in People (IIP) is the national quality standard for the training and development of people and helps organisations to improve their performance and realise their objectives through the effective management and development of their workforce. Being granted ‘Bronze’ status is a significant milestone for Mitchell Glass as it is one level up from the ‘Standard’ ranking we’ve held since 2004, when we first accomplished IIP recognition. The assessor was very complimentary in his evaluation of the firm. He commented upon our “highly committed staff and management throughout the business” and said that we have developed a “people centred, engaging, open, honest and trusting style of management that nonetheless demands excellence in delivery.” Our staff members were understandably delighted at the achievement and although we know we truly believe we are a great company, we have been in existence for nearly 140 years after all; it is nice for an outsider to confirm it. The question now is “How do we go for Gold?” We will continue to support the progress of our employees and demonstrate our on-going commitment to them to help us on the road to an even higher IIP rating in the future.
