Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Since Mitchell Glass opened its doors in 1875 it has survived through the Russian Flu, Spanish Flu, Asian Flu, Hong Kong Flu, SARS and Swine Flu. The current challenge we face is with the Covid-19 pandemic and we’d like to share with you Mitchell Glass’s approach to Covid-19 in order to reassure you of the health and safety measures we’re taking to keep everyone safe.

As you would expect we are, of course, ensuring that the highest possible standards are being maintained and that we’re adhering to the World Health Organisation’s guidelines and Government’s advice and protocols throughout every aspect of our business.

At the time of writing it is business as usual in the Scottish Borders. Our showroom is open and we’d love to see you. All staff are following the NHS guidelines for how to avoid catching or spreading Coronavirus which can be found here

We have additional health and safety measures in place for our team members including sales consultants, designers, engineers and tradespeople where they are required to visit your home.

Please advise us if your household are self-isolating or symptomatic and we will make alternative arrangements for your appointment.

In light of the current situation, we’re carefully following the advice from the health authorities and have put into place a number of additional precautions, such as increased hand washing and sanitisation, as well as implementing a heightened cleaning regime around our showroom.

We will continue to monitor developments and abide by the advice from the Government and Health Protection Scotland.
