Happy 139th Birthday To Us!

We celebrated a significant milestone last Saturday as it marked the 139th anniversary of Mitchell Glass.

Robert Mitchell originally commenced the business on Saturday, April 10th, 1875, who more than likely would have scarcely believed that Mitchell Glass would still be in existence to this day, never mind have gone on to become the leading home improvement company in Scotland. But it has and much of our success has to be put down to his original foresight which we have strived to maintain all these years by continually being at the very heart of innovation and by always delivering customer service of the highest standard. 139 years on and we thought the most appropriate way to commemorate the occasion was by baking ourselves a giant birthday cake (delicious it was too) and taking a selfie including several members of the team. Here’s to the next 139 years! We’ve also recently taken part in the “wear lavender to work day” for The Lavender Touch – a charity that raises funds to help support people with cancer living in The Scottish Borders. As you can see from the attire wore by our staff in the bottom photograph, we were extremely proud to give the cause our unequivocal backing.
