Mitchell Glass Is Accredited By FENSA – What This Means For You
If you have never employed a home improvement company to improve your property before, how do you go about finding the right company for the job?
There’s an immense amount of choice in this part of the world, which doesn’t make it easy, but what you want to do is pick a specialist with a proven track record.
To uncover the track record of the many home improvement ‘experts’ around, it helps to do some research, such as looking at online reviews to see how people evaluate their performance.
You should also speak to close friends and family members to see if they have used anyone locally in the past and whether they can pass on a recommendation.
Further to all of that, only appoint an installer with a recognised accreditation, the biggest of which is membership of FENSA, the leading body in the window and door industry.
Setup in 2002 by the Glass and Glazing Federation, the Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme regulates its members to ensure that they are continuously delivering excellence to customers and also providing installations that conform to building regulations.
Mitchell Glass has been a FENSA member for several years now and it’s an accreditation that we’re really proud to have.
We gained our FENSA-approved status by demonstrating immense skill in front of the scheme’s very experienced assessment team, and they carry out further assessments of our work on a regular basis to check that our standards have not dropped.
When FENSA’s assessors detect a drop in standards, they will show no hesitation in revoking an installer’s membership, but that hasn’t happened so far to us, and we won’t let it happen.
Only through the appointment of a FENSA installer will you get a FENSA certificate, a piece of documentation that proves an installation complies with building regulations and has been properly certified. You will need this certificate when selling your house as it must be handed over to the new occupier.
Don’t leave yourself open to a poor installation or poor service. Stick to using a company that people trust, like Mitchell Glass. Contact us and put your home in our capable hands.
