In the closed position the secondary glazed panels click and latch onto the outer frame. Secondary glazing comes as standard in white, brown or silver colours, or it can be in any one of over 200 RAL colours.
- Smooth sliding - the panels run on nylon skids or wheels
- Available in 2, 3 and 4 panels and choice of 2 or 3 tracks
- Available in odd leg, luxury subframe or heavy duty outer frame system
- Variety of glass types including acoustic or minimizing heat loss glass
Vertical Sliding Secondary Glazing
Vertical sliding secondary glazing is one of the most popular types of secondary glazing, second only to the more "traditional" horizontal sliding secondary glazing. This style of secondary opens upwards sliding vertically and is perfect for mirroring traditional vertical sliding sash windows.
Vertical Sliding Secondary Glazing is also available in Non Tilt In style with or without spiral balances. These are more popular in commercial situations where health and safety issues will not allow the windows to be able to tilt inwards
Side Hinged Secondary Glazing
Side Hinged Secondary Glazing System is the most versatile type. Ideally suited to large glazed areas with minimal sight lines, the system offers a high level security with easy access to the primary glazing.
Also available as a Tilt & Turn style and a Double Hinged Unit, all options are fitted with a multipoint high security locking system and can have either butt or concealed hinges depending on the situation. The ability to utilise tilt and turn gearing also increased the flexibility of use, giving high level ventilation and a secure night vent position, whilst retaining easy access to the original window for cleaning and general maintenance.
Clip In, Lift Out Secondary Glazing
Clip in / clip out secondary glazing is designed to reduce noise and cut heat loss by adding another window inside, and in addition to existing external windows. Economically, the Lift Out is the most cost effective type of secondary glazing available, commonly used where limited access to the original window is required perhaps where a window has been installed for the sole purpose of providing light.
The lift out secondary glazing is between 250mm to 2000mm wide and from 300mm to 2200mm high. The removable panels hold a single pane of glass which allows for easy cleaning of your existing windows.
Fixed Secondary Glazing
The fixed secondary glazing we supply and install can be from 200mm to 2000mm wide and between 200mm to 2200mm high. Fixed secondary glazing comes in three standard colours of white, brown and silver.
Optionally the aluminium frames can be painted any RAL colour. The fixed unit does not come with trims as the product is fitted directly into the existing window frame. The panels are a single glazed unit that is not removable. These fixed secondary glazing window units come with pre-drilled countersunk holes, which makes them relatively easy and quick to install.
